Review

This is a quick review

Rotation Pilot is a set of handy tools for rotating, resizing, and flipping your photos. To adjust a visual slope of a photo you should only set a vertical or horizontal axle and the software will do the rest. To flip an image and rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise by a quarter-turn, and by a half-turn, just click on an appropriate thumbnail. An arbitrary rotation angle can be specified in the entry field (3). Positive numbers correspond to clockwise rotation. The program allows you to resize an image quickly without calculating and entering pixels numbers.

The following full-length review applies to version 1.0

Rotation Pilot is a free utility for Windows. It gives us the opportunity to apply changes to our digital photos so they look perfect. There is a very useful demonstration showing us step-by-step what the program has to offer. From the Main Window we can open any image using the browsing feature. Once opened, we can view the image in full screen. It is possible to apply zoom in, zoom out, actual size and best fit. Next we can draw a horizontal or vertical angle and the program will automatically rotate and crop the image. If we do not like the result, we are allowed to undo/redo any action. After finding the perfect position the new image can be saved with the same name or another one and in one of the following image formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and BMP to our selected folder. So as you can see this program is very easy to use. Its installation is quite easy, although we must have Administrator rights to do so. It runs under the following operating systems: Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME, and 98.
Advantages
  • No more "almost" perfect landscape.
  • Completely Free.
  • Free support and demonstration.
Disadvantages
  • None.
